Empowering Change by Disseminating Findings and Clinical Implications

Research is an important part of learning and discovery – – it allows us to systematically answer questions of importance and value.  I find that there is a fruitful, reciprocal relationship between clinical work and research endeavors.  My clinical work in psychotherapy often serves to raise the questions that I seek to answer through research, and the results we generate from research findings are integral to helping clients progress in treatment through understanding best clinical practices and enhancing knowledge and understanding of different mental health issues.

My colleagues and I present findings from our research studies at local, national, and international conferences and publish research results in peer-reviewed scholarly journals.  Yet not everyone who could benefit from knowing the study findings has easy access to these venues.  Visit my blog, in which I provide highlights of the key findings from our work, in addition to other musings.

Listed below are some of my publications; you can also follow my work on ResearchGate.  Please contact me if you have interest in learning more about these areas or wish for a copy of a published journal article.
